It’s Down The Hatch again, this time featuring their ‘Frankenburger”, the Mac Daddy. Yes, that’s a burger sandwiched between two deep fried mac n cheese fritters.
I’ve been to The Printing Press and the food has always been really nice, but there was something in the flavour combinations on this dish that really made me sit up and take notice.
The most gourmet ice cream in Edinburgh, with undoubtedly the best view can be found at Mary’s Milk Bar.
One of the best overall dishes of 2017 was the Hand Rolled Tagliatelle with Orkney Scallops from The Honours, which also took our Top Restaurant of 2017 award.
When your prawns arrive and are closer to the size of a lobster tail, they’re going to make the best dishes list. Thanks Chop House!
I love a bit of theatre, but ONLY if it tastes good too. Juniper‘s ‘Strawberries and Steam‘ cocktail ticks both boxes.
Another entry for the Chop House – this time the sharing Porterhouse Steak.
This wasn’t my dish, but the husband assures me the waffles at The Pantry are the best he’s had in Edinburgh!
This dessert was so fresh and light, I had to include it. Also, look at that presentation – Longley Farm Sweet Buttermilk Mousse, Fennel Sorbet, Sorrel Parfait, and Granny Smith at Restaurant Martin Wishart.
Our final entry is another one for Restaurant Martin Wishart and this delicate dish of Cèpe Velouté with Orkney Scallop.
That completes part 3, leaving us just one more part to our best dishes of 2017!
