If ever there was a restaurant that does exactly what it says on the tin, it’s Burger. There are two in Edinburgh, each serving excellent quality burgers at reasonable prices.
Along with the usual burger restaurant staples, there are always interesting specials available with imaginative titles to go with it.
On a regular visit, we normally have a burger (regular cheese and a cheese and bacon) each and fries to share. If we are feeling adventurous, I like to have the chilli cheese fries or curry poutine, a nice spicy twist on the traditional Canadian gravy, chips and cheese curds.
There is a good selection of beer, wine and soft drinks to have. On this particular visit, I tried the Bundaberg ginger beer, which was excellent.
In addition to our burger and fries staples, we also tried the special chicken wings in orange BBQ sauce. They were really fresh and tasty, and just as messy as chicken wings should be!
The restaurant we were in had also introduced table service, which refined the experience and gave even more value for money. With all the ingredients being sourced from local, good quality suppliers
The surroundings also have a really nice quality feel and relaxed vibe to them. With all the ingredients being sourced from local, good quality suppliers and all the food freshly cooked to order, and the amazing “Burger” sauce made on site, I really believe you’d struggle to find a better burger joint in the whole city!
