It’s all haggis and shades of blue at Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh next week as they launch a special cocktail and burger to celebrate St Andrew’s Day!
We popped down to give them both a try.
The Saltire Rita is an eye catching cocktail made with Jose Cuervo Silver Tequila and of course Blue Curacao to give it the blue colour – a perfect kick off to your celebrations before you move onto the whisky.
As a bit of a warm up to the main event we ordered some Tangy Wings, I’ve had these before and they are one of my favourite starters on the Hard Rock menu.
Wings down, it was time for the main event. The Caledonia Burger pays homage to Scotland with a flame grilled chicken breast, haggis, bacon, and whisky sauce. Burgers are never my first choice on a menu, but this one REALLY hit the spot. The haggis brought a delicious spice to proceedings and the creamy whisky sauce made a nice change to the sweet relishes you usually have on a burger. It was so good we lobbied the manager, Ross, to get it on the menu permanently.
We rounded the evening off with the Chocolate Brownie sharer. It would have been rude not to!
The St Andrew’s Day Menu is available for 5 days from the 27th November!
