Yeni Meze Bar
October 10, 2016

Yeni is a smart meze bar on Hanover Street serving a combination of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. I’ve been three times now, but each time I seem to get carried away with eating and completely forget to take pictures – thankfully, I remembered just in time during my last meal there.

The menu is split into hot and cold meze, kebabs, salads and special dishes. Over the course of my three visits I have tried a good variety of the dishes and everything is well cooked and authentic.

This time, rather than select the same dishes as we’d had previously, we opted for one of their banquet meals. The largest of these is the Ottoman Feast, and feeling especially hungry, that’s what we ordered. The feast includes hot and cold meze starters which are followed by the chef’s choice of meat, fish and vegetable dishes from the speciality menu. This is certainly a satisfying option, the dishes kept on coming and we didn’t manage to finish everything that was put before us.

Our feast was complete with a plate of desserts which included Turkish Delight (my favourite) and Baklava
